Mental health is an essential part of your overall health and wellbeing. Whether you’re experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, or facing a difficult life event, you don’t have to manage it alone.
Our GPs provide a safe, confidential, and supportive environment where you can discuss your concerns without judgement. We take the time to understand your circumstances and work with you to develop a personalised plan for your care.
Where appropriate, your GP can prepare a Mental Health Care Plan, allowing eligible patients to access Medicare rebates for consultations with psychologists and other allied mental health professionals.
We are proud to have onsite clinicians from Head to Health Wellington, a federally funded mental health service commissioned by Gippsland Primary Health Network (PHN). This partnership enables eligible patients to access timely, evidence-based mental health care within a familiar primary care setting.
Head to Health Wellington is designed to improve access to free, culturally safe, and evidence-based mental health services for people living in the Wellington Shire and surrounding communities. The service complements existing mental health providers, helping people access the right care, at the right time, and as close to home as possible.
By working collaboratively with our GPs, Head to Health clinicians provide coordinated care and support for people experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns, making it easier to access the help you need.
If you or someone you care about is experiencing mental health challenges, we encourage you to make an appointment. Early support can make a significant difference, and our team is here to help you every step of the way.
